roommate moved out because of DSPSHi, I’m currently a college student and with being so busy it’s almost impossible for me to go to bed early and be a morning person. I actually might have this disorder cuz I won’t go to bed till 4 am, and on my days off, not wake til 3 or 4 in the afternoon. Re: roommate moved out because of DSPSYou've got a simple answer...try to find a roommate who also has DSPS or at least is a night owl. Talk to your dorm supervisor or someone who helps to place roomies and let them know about your disorder! You'll be so glad you did!
I only wish I knew what I had when I was in College. I ended up moving out of the dorm so I could room by myself because of my odd hours. After my freshman year and my horrible grades in my early classes, I also learned to not take classes before noon and took many evening classes. My outlook on life and my grades greatly improved. Had I know it was going to be a lifelong problem, I would have also taken a major that would have worked for my schedule. You've a chance to do it all right from the beginning by simply taking your DSPD into account in all you do now and in the future. Best of success to you! Nightweaver
