Would Be More Than EcstaticIf I could get some answers or any idea what's going on with my sleep. Sleeping has always been interesting for me, the thing bugging me most recently though is I just can't get to sleep at a decent hour. I work at night, usually off at or around midnight, and usually don't fall asleep until 3-4ish am. I always seem too tired to wake up with time before work, and without trying to gross anyone out on most mornings I wake up with mucus covering my teeth. In the mornings I usually wake up every few hours, feeling panicked for no apparent reason. The first thing I usually do is look for the time. And every now and then, I have woken up totally paralyzed, it usually only lasts less than a minute. I am scheduled for a sleep study, but that is a long ways away and am exhausted of this sleep pattern. I can't seem to break it.
Re: Would Be More Than EcstaticRead and research on your own. Maybe you did this already. Hopefully the sleep clinic can help you. In the mean time, i don't think you really can do much to change it. Try any or all of the treatments they suggest for DSPS. We did nothing worked for my 13 yr old son, who has dealt with this the past 2 years now. He takes 50 to 100 mg of TRAZADONE to get to sleep. He is able to sleep 8 to 10 hrs. But if he doesnt take the meds he can't fall asleep. Each person responds to treatments differently.
Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!
