Insomnia problems

I have had insomnia ever since I was around 8 if not sooner. Currently I am 27. I also had sleep walking problems for about 3-5 years. Now I dont sleep walk too much.

I have tried Trazodone, it helped for a couple months then kept me awake all night so had to stop taking it. Currently I take Ambien have been for 3-4 years. I find it does help alot. I have gone to sleep clinics and they did help a little but still I have major insomnia problems.

IVE HAD INSOMNIA MY WHOLE LIFE AND IM 37 NOW . I TOO FIND WORKING AT NIGHT EASIER THEN WAKEING UP IN THE MORNING. NOBODY KNOWS THE HORROR I LIVE IN I DON'T EVEN HAVE A LIFE

I have got you beat my friend - with 49 years of hell.
Insomnia since infancy. It has affected everything.
I have gone from virtually crippled to only partially crippled - which is a measurable and significant improvement.
Neurontin was the key! You may want to check it out. I do use it in combination with two other meds. the balancing act is too little sleep vs. too much drug - neither of which is good.
I would say I am living at a 5 or 6 (out of 10) quaility of life, whereas for 20 years prior I could only claim 1 to 2 at best.
