having problems staying asleep.

Post a new topicby Guest on Sat Mar 23, 2002 1:43 pm

I haven't gone in yet about the problem
,but I also wasn't sure I had a problem.
When I do fall asleep or try to I can't
seem to stay asleep.
I have a problem where I sit up right before falling into a deep sleep. Then I find myself sleeping while I'm sitting up. I've tried many different sleeping pills, and relaxing before bed.
Please help ...

there is an entity known as sleep maintanence insomnia and it has many causes. However a physician should evaluate this for you and preferably a sleep physician. Make sure you have healthy sleep habits such as no caffeine, nicotine, alcohol and that you are getting regular exercise. This is a good start but a physician evaluating you is the best approach.
