insomnia and anxiety

Post a new topicby Guest on Thu Jun 28, 2001 10:55 pm

I've been on buspirone during the day and I've been taking 10mg of diazapam plus 5mg of Ambien at night in order to get sleep. This has been going on for almost 2 months. I have finally been able to pinpoint why I had not been getting restorative sleep... I get this tingling sensation in the middle of my sleep and it makes me toss and turn, stretch, and take big breaths to try and make myself more comfortable and alleviate the tingling I'm feeling. I'm neither totally awake nor totally asleep. Does this sound like anxiety in my sleep or lack of oxygen that's causing this tingling sensation? Any ideas?

Tingling where? if it is in your hands it could be carpal tunel syndrome, along with other problems. Usually low oxygen does not cause tingling. Otherwise, I don't have any suggestions without a more details.
