Insomnia can be triggered by both psychological and physical reasons. Sufferers of depression and anxiety are more likely to develop insomnia. However insomnia can be caused by poor sleep habits and physical factors. Their are both physical and mental symptoms associated with insomnia -excessive fatigue, weakened immune system, increased anxiety and stress levels, low moods.

Often the symptoms are interrelated, and often there are a combination of factors that cause and develop insomnia. It really is a far more complex condition than people are lead to believe, hence why a majority of sufferers take sleeping pills, and why they suffer to no end.

Anyway I hope this helps.
