sleep studies

Post a new topicby Guest on Tue Mar 08, 2005 6:14 pm

I've had three sleep studies, and the pulmonologist would like me to have at least a fourth. I have only 9 apneaic episodes/hr and a NCPAP did nothing. The doc. said my brain wave pattern is too unusual to try to figure out with the studies he's done do far.

I can't afford any more studies, at my cost of $400 per.

I also am dealing with depression neuropsychiatric lupus and CNS Sjogren's. My EEG showed one spike.

Has anybody else had similar problems? Have you ever been told by the doc that they don't know what is going on and don't know what to do?

I sometimes wonder if I am ever going to sleep well again. I really think my immune system would work better if I had some good restful sleep.
