My name is Shane , and I was diagnosed with Narcolepsy with Cataplexy in 1990 at the age of 18 shortly after dropping out of school. I live in Wisconsin, and I was married about that same time, and we had a child. We ended up in a divorce, we shared custody but she ended up with placement, and the state awarded her child support.
I made a small protest to paying support because, even though I didn’t notice, my Narcolepsy was severe at THAT time and we were just starting the years of medic...Read the full article

Hi Shane

Man thats a tough time you're having there.

My name is pete and my life started off pretty much like yours. I was orphaned in 1958 after my folks were killed in an accident. Luckily all I got was a coma and then the big CN thing from the trauma of being adopted into sexual abuse when I was five. That makes me 56 and I guess you're still in your thirties.

First off I want to say well done for surviving the hardest part. I've learned a thing or two about the problems pwn experience and for you to have decided to carry on means only one one thing ... you are an overcomer. That's the thing to focus on. Try to avoid comparing your situation with those seeking the temporary solution that the world has to offer. If the truth be known you are in a better position to find out the truth about life than they are. I give thanks every day that God allowed me to experience this amazing walk, which led to the opening of my eyes. If an angel told me I could go back and be successful in the world tomorrow, but not have access to what I know today, I would say thanks angel, but no thanks. You seem to me to be quite an intelligent fellow, judging by the way you write and considering that your schooling, like mine couldn't have contributed much so I'd be happy to spend some time discussing the relevance of our earthly experience and how you can benefit from it, if you feel you're ready to let go of your old worldview.

Go get a cup of something inspiring and decide whether you really want help. Teachable is the big thing ... are you prepared to be teachable ?

bear hug
pete
