I’ve been recently diagnoised with this sleep disorder. Come to find out that I’ve had it pretty much all my life. In Dec my husband was in psych class and they were discussing disorders and they started talking about this one. Turns out that his prof actually did a study on it. So I went to the only dr I had at the time, my gyn, who didn’t know what I was talking about but recommended that I get a GP.

Can you tell me what medication worked for you and what advice you have for a young man with this condition? He hasn't been diagnosed yet (appt in a month) but everything I read points to RBD and so much sounds hopeless. I'm looking for any advice you can give so he doesn't have to feel like he's crazy or going to have to live...and sleep alone forever.
