RBD or something else?

Since I was teen about i i sleep with violent movement while dreaming. Once as an adult around age 30 i moved so violently while dreaming that my flailing arm hit my wife and another dream I twisted my neck so badly ended up in neck brace. When i awake the sheets and blankets sare in total disaray, often on floor. I do not talk in sleep but do on occaision sleep with eyes part open enough that I need to use a moisturiezer on them. To add to this it appears to be genetic in that my mother now sleeps separate bed from father as she sleeps similarly and my maternal grandfather had same difficulties sleeping as well. Since about age 30 the sleeping has been so difficult that I wake with muscles tighter then when I went to bed. Just to add to the difficulties I sleep a lot more now due to MS disanosed a year and half ago. Combine the 2 and too often I will sleep up to 14 hours with the same results of very heavy vivid dreams and wake tired with tight muscles so all I want to do is go back to sleep.
sadly my HMO doesnt have any sleep doctors.

I was diagnosed about 5 years ago with REM sleep disorder by the neurologist who treats my MS (dx 13 yrs ago). He told me he usually sees this in his Parkinsons patients and I'm his first MS patient with the sleep disorder. I take Klonopin, but I seem to get worse especially when there's been a lot of stress. I shout, scream, speak and swear in English and Spanish. Recently I doubled up my legs and kicked my husband. Why don't I wake up ? Thank heavens I have an understanding husband. After a bad night, I wake up extremely tired and often depressed. I have gotten to the point where I delay going to bed because the nightmares wear me out.
