I have been complaining about pain in my legs since I was an infant. I am now 52 years old and until the last few years I didn’t know what the problem was–I just knew I had a problem. I was finally diagnosed with RLS and put on Neurontin. It was terrible. The medication eased some of the symptoms, but I was unable to function during the day. I would fall asleep and felt like I was “walking into walls”. I couldn’t control my actions. I was taken off the medic...Read the full article

such an old post, i hope im not too late in responding. I had similar problems. I had what i called body jerks all over my body. I dont know if its from my leukemia,(I have CML), or from some sort of RLS, but the Mirapex worked great! one problem, however, was my compulsion to gamble. I already have addictive behaviors and must abstane from alcohol and narcotic pain meds. not an easy task when i have had back and neck surgery and now have very painful side effects from my cancer treatments. I lost almost $60k before i was able to accidently stop the mirapex and figure out what was going on.

my only advice to you is to watch the class action suits against Mirapex, yes, it may be a miracle but that miracle needs to warn people about its side effects! i hope to gain some of my losses back but i dont count on it. ultimately, the gambling was my own fault, but the dr and the drug manufacture need to be held accountable as well. My dr even NEW i was an addict and still didnt caution me about the compulsions that Mirapex MAY cause.

time will tell i guess

good luck to you
jim
