Post a new topicby livingwith on Fri Aug 17, 2007 9:26 pm

I have had apnea for years, have had four surgeries already, none helped very much. Your post has been over a year, so I am wondering if you already got the help that you needed. Anyway, my husband just had the MMA surgery one week ago. His primary insurance is Tricare. He is allergic to the CPap mask and had the surgery where they pull the tongue muscles through the bottom jaw. It wasn't successful. He had some issues with getting Tricare to pay. He really had to push the doctor's secretary to get all of the paperwork approved. It was quite a pain submitting the paperwork. You really have to be on top of it. He actually had his surgery cancelled due to the insurance company on the day before the surgery. Thankfully, it all got straightened out. My husband got onto my insurance as a secondary insurance just to avoid incurring any additional costs. If you need help, my husband could probably help you. Hopefully, you already got this straightened out by now.
