Question 1: Are you certain that "Flo" causes increased carbon dioxide? I had understood from my Tech that due to Sleep Apnea without a CPAP machine, you have increased carbon dioxide in your system; however, that with a CPAP you're now getting the oxygen that you need. [SIDE: I don't have my CPAP yet, so I may not recall correctly.]

Question 2: Have you located any information regarding damage done to the body from carbon dioxide "poisoning"? Thank you.

I was just diagonosed (ogt CPAP last week) and have been doing a lot of investigation. In regards to the MACHINE causing an increase in carbon monozide in your organs- not really. The CPAP, BiPAP, and APAP machines all have 'holes' for the old air to escape through. Users should invest in a special PILLOW that doesn't allow the holes to get clogged with the stuff old pillows are made of. Here's the site for you to browse. Thanks! Hope this helps.

Thank you for the link. I have been using a thin pillow and folding a corner under to make room for the mask, but recently my back has begun to hurt. Perhaps that new pillow will solve my problem. :)
