I am newly diagnosed with OSA (2.5 months) and have been religiously using my CPAP with heated humidifier for 1.5 months. Had allergies (airborne-pollen,etc.) and asthma as a kid, but have been virtually trouble-free except during first pregnancy. Live in a smoke-free environment, but have a dog -- also, live in Florida (pollen city right now). Within 2 weeks of using CPAP, started having problems with stuffy nose. Began using Nasonex, progressed to Allegra D, then to Singulair. Now have bronchitis and am using Albuterol every 6 hours. Still coughing and still waking every 1.5-2 hours during the night (even before bronchitis). I keep my humidifier, filter, hoses and masks cleaned according to the manufacturer's instructions. Could the CPAP be making me sick? What is causing me to continue to wake up every couple of hours? Can anyone give me any answers?
