I am considering hard tissue surgery- mandibular advancement (both lower and upper). Has anyone been through this? Can you explain it to me? How long of a process? How long in the hospital? Were you able to breathe with all the swelling? How much recovery? Did they wire your jaw or use screws? How long before you could go back to work? Did it affect your speech? Did you have to have orthodontia treatment? Did you have to where braces? If so, how long? Would you recommend it? Where did you have it done and would you recommend any doctor or group?
