Short of breath the next day

Post a new topicby Mary Kate on Mon Mar 31, 2008 2:06 pm

I went last night for my CPAP fitting and analysis. When they put the first mask on me I had a slight panic attack and could not use that mask. Then the nurse brought me in another one that went over
my head and just came down over my nose. My problem is , if any of you remember when they said
that you wouldn't be able to talk and use the mask at the same time, but they asked you a question and your breath was taken away when you tried to answer. It was kind of scary at first, but I got used to the mask. But then today, I still have the feeling of my breath being taken away and not being able to shake the feeling. Did this happen to anyone else? Is it normal? Will it go away? Is there a reason that this is happening? Did I do something wrong. I am nervous about having to go and get fitted for a machine. Thanks!
