My husband is morbid obese and wakes up every 2-3 minutes with shortness of breath. He has an appointment for a sleep study but not until 3/25/02. Should I wait???? He also gets the shortness of breath during the day while doing daily chores.

Many sleep laboratories have that long of wait. However, his shortness of breath should be evaluated by his physician as daytime shortness of breath may not be related to sleep apnea.
