Snap TestIts always been my understanding that the only definitive test for OSA is an overnight 16-channel sleep study in a sleep lab. Now I hear there is an "easier" way to diagnose OSA. How valid is the Snap test (see snaplab.com) and is it a viable alternative to a more expensive polysomnogragram in a sleep disorders center? How accurate can this test really be?

Re: Snap TestThe snap test is easier to use but is not considered the standard of care by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. The best test still is the 16 channel inlab Polysomnogram. The reasons are that the snap tests and other portable or in home studies can still misdiagnose patients.
