My son is still in great distress over a sleep disorder. Since puberty he has gone with no more than 2 or 3 hours of sleep and many nights with no sleep at all. You should take him to a sleep specialist if you haven't done so.
Obviously he has some sort of insomnia. A friend of mine has a sleep disorder, advanced phase sleep delay-he sleeps during the morning and afternoon and is awake all night. There are many sleep disorders out there that they can test for now. Good Luck...
