Body pulling me to sleep while awake..

Post a new topicby fitzgera1d on Tue Oct 21, 2008 3:21 am

Hello, i am 24 years old and recently, ive had Supraventricular Trachycarida SVT. One afternoon, i had layed down on my bed and i was feeling a little sleepy.. when i was laying down, i was able to see images when my eyes are closed.. i was all of a sudden watching it and as i was watching it, my body started to feel numb.. and i knew that my body was pulling me to sleep.. i dunno what was going on so i stood up and then my heart started to beat rapidly.. i had called 911 because it felt like a time bomb within me.. what does this mean?

a few weeks later (today).. its 3am right now and im writing this topic.. ive had the same images in my sleep (like im riding in a roller coaster) and my body once again was pulling me to sleep.. before i would draw into the images, i opened my eyes and my heart would start to beat fast again..luckily, i was able to run to my bathroom and jump in a cold shower to slow my heart rate.. from what i observed, i believe i was going strait into the REM stage of sleep..

has anyone ever had this problem? i am so scared to sleep because it might make my heart beat fast that i would have to go to the emergency room again...
