Helps me fall asleep at night...I recently discovered that music really helps me sleep at night...it calms my brain (which is pretty much impossible to do).
For one of my favorite artists, check out www.elijahbossenbroek.com I have also heard, from friends who I passed the album along, that it helps their kids sleep better at night too. Definitely work giving a listen. Good luck, fellow sleep-seekers. :)
Re: Helps me fall asleep at night...There are lots of other methods to help you fall asleep at night including taking a warm bath, having a massage or drinking some warm milk. Chill out music can also prove very useful as you have stated.
Cutting down on caffeine intake be it energy drinks or coffee will also be very helpful in trying to get to sleep. Also avoiding doing mentally stimulating activities shortly before going to bed as they will not be productive to helping your body and mind relax and shut down. Avoid doing these activities in the bedroom as well because that can cause you to link the bedroom to a place other than sleep. If you can't sleep the best thing to do is find the reason why you can't sleep and then target that. For most the reason will be stress and there are several things you can do to easily reduce your stress levels.
