Lack of quality sleep

Post a new topicby rsitch on Mon May 04, 2009 6:28 pm

I am going through a particularly stressful time at work, and have been for the past few months.

Whilst I can normally cope with this, I have been experiencing problems with waking up in the early hours (say 4am), and then struggling to get back into deep sleep. The issue is that the minute I awake, my mind starts to concentrate on a work related matter, and just will not stop. Consequently, I do not sleep, but invariably just doze. I have listened to more dawn choruses than I can bare!

This happens daily, and the upshot is that I am experiencing memory loss, poor concentration, and poor judgement. This then precipitates more problems at work, which causes more worry, etc etc.

Is there anything you can recommend to allow my mind to relax until I am ready to rise?

I am not normally subject to any disorders, and this is frustrating me greatly.

Many thanks
