Really unfortunate combination

Post a new topicby bee797 on Wed Aug 26, 2009 11:13 am

I am exhausted today. I suffer from insomnia, which for the most part is controlled by medication. However, if I am woken up during the night, it is still very hard for me to get back to sleep. The problem is that my fiance has narcolepsy, which, among other things, causes him to sleep-talk, sometimes yelling, startling me awake. One of us usually has to go sleep on the couch when this occurs, because if it happens once, that sets off a whole night of sleep-talking. In addition to this, because he "naps" frequently during the day, he usually comes to bed around 5am, and I wake up for work at 7, so you an imagine how hard this is to deal with. I could really use some help with this situation. Any suggestions on how to keep the talking to a minimum, or it is time for separate bedrooms?
