Vision Hallucination

Post a new topicby AlissaEfron on Thu Jan 08, 2009 2:48 am

I have a strange sleep problem and haven't been able to find any information about other people having it, so I thought I'd give it a try here. Sometimes, while I'm sleeping, I'll have the sensation of waking up (I'm still not sure whether I'm actually awake or not when this happens) and I'll see what's right in front of me. However, when I go to turn my head, I feel as if my head is turning, but what I'm seeing remains the same. I never see what I am turning my head towards. It's scary because sometimes I have the feeling that somebody is in the room with me, but although I can turn towards them, I can't see what I am turned towards. I still see the side of the room I woke up looking at. Has anyone else ever experienced this or heard anything about it? I've read about sleep paralysis, and although I occasionally experience that too, this doesn't quite fit in any of the descriptions.
