I have a worn bladder lining and often use catheters to empty it. My biggest problem is that I wake up every two or three hours all night long to urinate. I am on zanex, but my insomnia problem is ruining my life. My urologist wants me to have a bag outside of my body to catch the urine, but I really don’t want to do that, so I suffer. I have tried DMSO, but it didn’t make much of a difference.

Oh you poor thing. Your post scares me cuz I have recently (12/2005) been
dx w/ Intersticial cistitis and had some pretty horrendous flareups and when it's bad sleep
is totally outta the questions. I can't even imagine giving myself a catheter. I applaud your strength!!
I was the patient from h*** when they gave me mine at the hospital. I empathize as I know some of what the messed up bladder lining can do. I take elmiron it's for the bladder lining maybe it would help you tho you sound like you've already jumped thru all the hoops.
