So last night I was having a dream where my head was being rolled over by a rolling pin or something and my skull wasn't being crushed but it was maliable. Anyway, it was a freaky dream and I forced myself awake. As usual I tried to look at the clock and see what time it was. I'm pretty sure I sat up halfway or so. I couldn't see the clock though, because my eyes were darting back and forth, like they were still in REM mode. I fell back down and tried to look again, maybe a couple seconds later?, and they were still rapidly moving. I waited, not sure how much longer, and could see the clock. It was 1:37. Is this possible? Anyone had anything like this happen to them? Part of me was worrying I was having a seizure or something, which I've never had, and am not prone to. Nothing that might cause seizures runs in my family and I'm absolutely fine this morning.

Was it REM with my eyes open? Any ideas?
