Sleep walkingI am 82 and new to sleep walking. When sleepwalking are eyes open or closed?
I have perpheral neuropathy. Could this cause the sleepwalking? I've had neuropathy since 1997 (from a flu shot) but have been sleepwalking only for the past four weeks. Will you be needing the prescriptions I take? Is it usual that sleepwalkers eat? DanStout
Re: Sleep walkingMedications can induce sleep walking. It is unusual to start sleep walking at your age. Are you dreaming during your sleep walking. Have your awakened and remembered dreaming. There is another problem called REM behavior disorder that occurs while dreaming in REM sleep which is more common during your age.

Re: Re: Sleep walkingQuestion: Am I dreaming during sleepwalking? Not to my knowledge. I only discover that I had been sleepwalking after awaking in the morning and seeing the results.
Examples: First time. I ate some ice cream and choclate sauce. In the morning the choclate sauce was all over a leather chair, all over my face, on a towel and on my pillow. Second time: I ate a small carton of cream cheeze, ate it with a measuring spoon and threw the empty container in the waste basket. Third time: Drank a glass of milk and found the unrinsed glass in the sink. Forth time: Opened a can of ginger ale & consumed it, then unlocked the door and brought the paper into the house, threw my pants on a chair in the living room & left the papers in a pile on the floor (I never do that) In each instance my wife & I found the evidence the following morning. I have no recollection of any of these things.
I am 82 and new to sleep walking. When sleepwalking are eyes open or closed...
