sleepwalking

Post a new topicby Guest on Wed Apr 17, 2002 10:45 pm

I am a 44 year old female with an alcohol abuse problem, and many personal and job related stress factors.
I am find that if I eat after drinking alcohol I am less lickly to have sleeping walking episodes.
My family states that I sleepwalk after alcohol intake. I sleepwalk for the purpose of urination.
I have gone to other rooms in the house to urinate. These include urinating at the beside, in laudry baskets, and in garbage containers.I am very concerned about this problem and would like to know if this is a psycho or phyiological problem. I would also like to know if there is treatment avaliable, and the associated risk factors.
I need help and direction because these sleepwalking episodes could become serious for myself and my family.

Alcohol ingestion and the sleep disruption it causes can make sleep walking worse. Psyhological stress can also. Therefore, getting the alcohol problem under control is the best approach to treating your sleep walking.
