SLEEPWALKING

Post a new topicby DOTTIE on Thu Mar 13, 2008 12:46 pm

My son-in-law was a sleepwalker when he was young. And now that he is married to my daughter, his sleepwalking has started and is getting out of control. He gets up and starts yelling and slamming doors in the middle of the night, it upsets the kids and in the morning he doesn't remember anything. What is going on? I don't want him to hurt the children or my daughter, he is really a good dad and husband, not a violent person in waking life. HELP Please

Hi Dottie I just found this forum today and thought I would say something. I just read that stress is
a contributing factor to sleepwalking. Maybe he is on stress overload. If he had someone to talk to about whatever is stressing him out maybe that would help. I would go to the "causes of sleepwalking" and play around with that. Maybe you could at least cut down on the episodes. I don't know too much about sleepwalking, and have just done research today. I have lived alone for years and just today realize that I sleepwalk so that is why I am in here. God bless, ozarkgirl

Thank you for your reply. I think he is under some stress. I will check into the causes. I dont think its happened lately, but I will do some more reading. Thank you again.
