urination while sleepwalkingi have 22 year old son who ha always been difficult to wake from sleep...Sometimes he will even seem pt respond to me waking him, but will have no recollection of me tryng to wake him. Lately he has urinated in various places around the house thinking he is in te bathroom..This has happened 3 times in the last 6 months.
Re: urination while sleepwalkingsleepwalking is a common and usually harmless event. It is worsened by stress and sleep deprivation. Things that can also worsen sleep can worsen this like drinking alcohol or caffeine. Your son's physician should evaluate for any other problems that may be causing this as well. Urinating in the house can happen because the person is asleep and not coherent but it is not very common.
