Violent SleepwalkingI moved in with my boyfriend about a month ago and things are going fine. But about two weeks ago he told me that I have been getting violent towards him in my sleep. These actions have ranged from hitting, shoving him (off the bed) smothering with a pillow and scratching. The worst so far was in Vegas when I hit him so hard in the back of the neck he couldn't turn his head for the rest of the day.
I never recall the actions, only him waking me up to tell me what I was doing. All I can remember is that my dreams are generally violent. Any ideas?
Re: Violent SleepwalkingI have recently had my first episode of violent sleepwalking that scares me. I was have a dream I was being held against my will and was able to get out and punch the person holding me. Turns out I punched my wife at full force in her arm. This kind of behavior scares me severely and I have student insurance that equals crap, so I have never been properly diagnosed with anything because I can't afford the pulmonology visit or sleep study.
Re: Violent SleepwalkingI have found i am violent during sleep too. I just got married and so far i have elbowed her in the middle of the back one night, i have punched her in the back, and I rolled over and elbowed her chest which in turn punctured her breast implant. I don't know what to do!! I am not a violent person, she is my dream girl and i would never hurt one hair on her head. I have though about wearing a straight jacket to bed to keep my arms from hurting her. I have a lot of stress in my work and since i am self employed, a lot of stress comes from not knowing if i will have work in this bad economy. She made me promise i wouldn't sleep in another room or away from her and i don't want to but if i hurt her in my sleep, i will never be able to forgive myself. Every site i have been to gives advice to simply keep things off the floor so i don't trip when i sleepwalk but nothing tells me how to prevent it. If you know what i can do, please H E L P!!!!!
